Bright Side of the Day - March 29, 2013

"Looking forward to watching “The Passion of the Christ” with my family this evening. It paints a good picture of just what Christ did for mankind. For Christians, this weekend is a reminder of just how much that God has blessed us beyond what we deserve."

Why not remember the same EVERY weekend of the year?

It would be nice if people read the whole history of the region, including the earliest religions. Perhaps they would learn something. And not just western writers either; read accounts by Turks, Greeks, Ethiopians, Iranians, Iraqis, northern Indians, Egyptians, Carthaginians, etc.

The Bible, like the Qu'ran and the Torah, are great books. They have some historical accuracies but supernatural behavior cannot be proved or disproved because we cannot use natural science to measure supernatural events.

That is why belief is called faith. I have faith in natural science. We can have faith in whatever we want.

A day on earth is defined by the rising and setting of the sun as the earth spins on its axis. If god created the sun on the 4th day, how were the 1st 3 days measured? Just saying i have a hard time putting faith in teachings that we now know to be ignorant and unknowing of current intelligence. And people who interpret these ancient teachings and morph them into an excuse to hate other groups are just sickos

WTF 1. YES Man measures a day by the sun. Who says God does too? 2. Some of us may not be able to see or touch something but Faith allows us to believe it is real. 3. Example we can not see or touch you but we see your writtings here, so we believe you are a human with a heart and soul like the rest of us. We have no proof you are human and not a computer generated typest but we have Faith you are human.

As brutal as the movie portrays the crucixion.........it really doesn't come close to how bad it really was. Salvation is a free gift...........but you must accept the gift, take the gift, and live the gift. The best news is not Friday....it's Sunday. That's what separates Christianity from everything else. As Paul said "If the dead are not raised.....let us eat and drink!" for tomorrow we may die eternally.
