ALBANY -- Mrs. Leonora Spivey "Baby" Arnold, 91 died Thursday, March 28,2013 at Lee County Health Care.
Her memorial service will be Monday, April 1, 2013 at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 7:30 PM. There will also be a visitation Wednesday, April 3 from 6 to 7:30 PM at Williams Memorial Chapel in Milledgeville, GA.
Born in Eatonton, Mrs. Arnold had lived in Albany since 1951. She had worked at the Albany Chamber of Commerce from 1988 to 1994. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church, an avid golfer and bridge player. She was a member of the Albany Charity League, Radium Springs Country Club, Doublegate Country Club where she was part of the Women's Golf Association.
Mrs. Arnold served on the Board of the Red Cross and the American Cancer Society and had lived at Westwood Apartments, Century Pines and Evergreen Assisted Living before moving to Lee County Health Care.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Hargrove and Elizabeth Holt Spivey, son William Howard "Bill" Arnold, brothers, Col. Paul Holt Spivey, Frank Holt Spivey, sister, Elizabeth Spivey "Yip" Hanner, nephew Dick Hanner.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Frank Spivey Arnold, Greensboro, GA and his children, Lt. Col. Frank Spivey Arnold, Jr. and wife Robin, Shepard Air Force Base, TX, their children, Hannah, Royce, William and Amy, daughter, Sue Macleod Phelps and husband Mark, Monroe, GA, their daughter Molly; daughter in law, Mrs. William Howard (Linda) Arnold, Dalton, GA and their son Reid, Dalton, GA; nephews, Holt Spivey, Eatonton, GA and his son Jared, Eatonton, GA, Bob and Linda Hanner, Parrott, GA and their sons, Rob Hanner and wife Susan, Fairhope, AL, their sons, Trace and Max, Jeff Hanner and wife Julie, Parrott, GA, Matt Hanner, Albany, GA, Dick Hanner's daughter Kathleen Hart and husband Brian, Spanish Fort, AL and their children, Haley and Will.
