ALBANY, Ga. — One of the area's most popular local bands has had their trailer, which was filled with their equipment, stolen.

The trailer, which was parked off of Byron Plantation road was taken early Friday morning. It belonged to Hwy 55, a local band popular around the region.

Dougherty County Police Detective Chad Kirkpatrick says that the department is still putting the intial incident report of the theft together, but that it was stolen around 4 a.m.

"It's a white, enclosed trailer that had some musical and band equipment inside," Kirkpatrick says. "It also has Highway 55 written on it."

Kirkpatrick says if anyone has any information, call Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS or the DCP at 430-6600.

Worthless THUGS win again! After all, O'Bama says you've got to go out there and take it from the Haves......you deserve it! The Haves need to contribute THEIR FAIR SHARE!

Guess when DoCo needs most of the "police presence"? Yep, between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. I wonder how many are at home snug in their beds at that time? We don't need it during the daylight for the most part.

Every trailer that is ever parked in Albany need a locator device. Even your equipment. It would for a time stop these thugs until the judges let them out. The person who is found with them will say they bought it off so and so and they will just be charged with theft by receiving which is nothing. If you cannot prove they actually stole it, nothing will happen to them. A girl at AHS was seen stealing a phone from a girls purse and since she was not found with it, got off completely. So why not live a life of crime, nothing will happen to you.
