Movie in the Park kicking off

ALBANY, Ga. — The city of Albany Downtown Manager’s Office along and the Recreation and Parks Department are kicking off the Movie in the Park series at 7 p.m. April 13 in Riverfront Park.

The series will open with the showing of “Shark Tales.”

City officials are encouraging families in the community and surrounding communities to come enjoy a free night of entertainment.

Visitors can bring their blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy the movie.

City officials say those attending should arrive at the park by 7 p.m. to get a good spot.

The movie will begin at dusk.

Other movies on the calendar include “Matilda” on May 18, “Hoodwinked” on June 8 and “Happy Feet” on July 5.

Dont be so negative unless you have been to one of these nights. We have taken our grand children to almost every one and had a great time without incident. I enjoy the movie in the park nights. Police are always there and NEVER saw any trouble. I would be the first to speak out if it were any different.
