Senator making metro Albany stops

ALBANY, Ga. — U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Marietta, will be in the metro Albany area this week with several stops on his agenda.

Isakson is scheduled to speak at a joint meeting of the Albany and Dougherty Rotary Clubs at noon Thursday at Doublegate Country Club.

A newly appointed member of the Senate Committee on Finance, Isakson is expected to give a legislative update from Washington.

Isakson is scheduled to be at the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce that day from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. for a meet-and-greet session which is open to the public.

You mean he has actually come below the fall line. This is a first in a non election year. Got to put in a good work for the GOP since Chambless will not be running. There is more of a reason than just being concerned about South Georgia.

Starting to posture for reelection early since he knows the next one will be tough. Concern is for himself not his constituents or the nation. Typical politician--worthless as I see him! If he is going to update on legislation, it should be a short spiel so enjoy the meal and catch a cat nap during the speech.

I wonder what is on the menu. Perhaps I'll stop by and see since I'm paying for it.
