I disagree. Progress must be made.
Then build the apartments on that vacant lot on South Westover. Downgrading a neighborhood is not progress.

Funny now all of a sudden people are concerned about the tax base. What do you expect? 75% of Albany is on welfare and food stamps. Look at all the houses that are for sale, most of your home owners (Tax Base) has left Albany for other communities bringing their tax dollars with them, and now you want to build this apartment complex because it will help on the taxes? Build the complex on that big lot for sale on South Westover and you can still help out on the taxes. I believe this desire to build that complex is political more than a desire or need to build it.
Exactly VSU alot of the tax base has already moved out & alot more want to but can't. I hear people daily saying they would love to get out but they can't afford to sell because no one wants to buy property in DOCO. Who can blame them.
