YMCA Summer Day Camp
The summer day camp begins Monday for Dougherty County students and Thursday for Lee County Students.
YMCA Summer Camp has three locations for its summer programs: YMCA Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road, Albany; YMCA Sports Park, 4508 Gillionville Road, Albany, and Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 2217 Ledo Road, Lee County.
FEES: YMCA members — $79, 2nd child, $69; non-members — $89, 2nd child $79, with a registration fee of $50 per child.
Magical Kingdom Camp, ages 5-7.
Every day is an adventure.
Girls Rock Camp, ages 8-13
Girls learn the fundamentals of cheer, dance, and flag.
Ball Sports Camp, ages 8 to13
This camp offers a summer filled with sports fun.
The YMCA provides campers with character development activities. In addition to fun and character education, the camp also offers swimming, arts and crafts, field trips, games, a clean, safe and secure environment, nurturing, experienced staff, and a commitment to the highest standards
In addition to day camp, the YMCA will also offer a specialty camps this summer.
Camp KWD, ages 8-13, June 17-21
FEE: $79, YMCA members; $89, non-members; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (before- and after-camp care provided if needed 7 a.m.-9 a.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m.), YMCA Central Facility.
Held in conjunction with Phoebe Diabetes Care Center, Camp KWD is a activity-packed camp for kids with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and who have a family history of diabetes. Phoebe nurses will be on hand to check glucose levels after all activities. Campers enjoy sports and games, swimming, cooking, nutrition, and more. Family activities are also planned in the evenings.
Scholarships are available for this camp.

Camp FIT, ages 8-13, June 17-21

FIT stands for Fun, Informative and Transforming. Camp FIT is a healthy lifestyle camp where kids will enjoy swimming, sports, games, dance and music, and will learn about healthy eating and a variety of other healthy lifestyle choices. For some activities, campers will participate with Camp KWD campers.

Autism Summer Camp
Albany Advocacy Resource Center, ages 10-12, June 24-July 3, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, at Albany ARC Preschool, 1333 W. Broad Ave.
For children with autism, Asperger’s syndrome or PDD (Persuasive Developmental Disorders). Activities include social skills, computer games, field trips, language skills and having fun.
If there is any type of behavior problems, instructors will work on interventions.
