APD responds to Sunday aggravated assault

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department responded to an aggravated assault early Sunday morning, police reports show.

APD officials say the 46-year-old victim told police man approached him in the Royal Inn parking lot, at 821 W. Highland Ave., at 3:45 a.m. and pointed a silver-colored handgun at him. The gunman told the victim to give him everything he had. He said when he told the gunman he didn't have anything, the man told him to give him his cell phone.

He said he threw his cell phone at the motel fence. The phone bounced back toward him, so he grabbed it and took off running. When he turned around to look back, the gunman had disappeared, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a red shirt and black shorts. There were no injuries reported from the incident, and the investigation into the case remains active, APD officials say.

Advice to citizens and visitors of Albany GA: Don't go outside between the hours of 11PM and 6AM. Your chances of meeting a low life thug named "...avious" and with a possible apostrophe or two in his/her name who will kill you for fifty cents will be greatly reduced!

At that time in the morning you deserved everything you got. I can't believe you are stupid enough to even report it.
