Mauldin & Jenkins acquires Chattanooga company
ALBANY, Ga. — Albany-based Mauldin & Jenkins announced Thursday the acquisition of a Chattanooga firm, boosting their footprint throughout the Southeast.
Company officials say that the acquisition of Hazlett, Lewis, and Bieter, PLLC will boost M&J’s net fees near $46,000,000. It will now have 45 partners and more than 280 employees.
“Hazlett, Lewis, & Bieter, PLLC is a proven successful firm that provides quality service to their clients and professional opportunities for their people,” Donny Luker, Managing Partner of M&J said. “We are proud to move forward with them as a part of the M&J Team. Together, we have a stronger and broader resource base from which to draw in order to provide services to our clients, and through the market expansion to offer more opportunities for our people and partners.”
M&J will relocate several partners and staff to the Chattanooga area to enhance services capabilities, Luker said. These partners and staff specialize in the governmental and banking areas.
The sale will close June 1.
