One arrested in shooting

ALBANY, Ga. — A Lee County man has been arrested in connection to a Tuesday-morning shooting in Albany in which two railroad workers say they were randomly targeted.

According to a report filed with the Albany Police Department, Timothy McCoy and Gene Ronner, both of whom work for Georgia/Florida Railway Co., called police after two men with guns were seen walking near 1019 Coastline Ave. McCoy and Ronner say the two men fired several shots at them before running off.

Police responded to the area where Montravious Stephens, 24, of Smithville, was found hiding in nearby woods.

According to the report, Stephens matched the description of one of the men seen by McCoy and Ronner and was arrested at the scene and taken to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.

Charges are pending.

Stupid! Shooting at two gentlemen who were working. Maybe these losers should learn from the victims and get a job for a living instead of committing crimes. Obviously, they aren't good at it.

Take them into the swamp, strip them down and chain them to a cypress stump indefinitely.

My son said that there was an unwritten rule, you do not shoot or fire on the cable men or utility or HVAC's. If word gets around no one will go to your area. They must have not gotten this word in Smithville. This has usually included any workers in Albany. Leave them be like leaves of three.

He probably thought the workers were acting unnatural and were zombies like in the latest video game bought with the magic card.

I've been out of town for a week and I noticed Albany's Finest are still at it. They have a lot to say about certain people but others they sit quiet. The same people yall see on your way up will be the same people you see on your way down. Some falls gonna be hard Ya Hear.

Apparently you only read what you want to read. Where were you the other day when people were knocking that white guy for the crime he committed? I guess you just conveniently skipped over that story because you couldn't make your stupid racist comments about it. Like I said you just read and comment on what you want to read, but yeah, all your buddies are being arrested and you just can't stand it. It's not our fault your finest homies are committing crimes. We still haven't received the list of names from those 4 Lee County teachers that you say were arrested for rape and child molestation, or was that just a fire baiter?

I'm sure if they face Judge Lockette they will do little to no time. Lockette allowed that Big Daddy's owner Gilbert to get his liquor license back. What a disgrace to the Albany community.
