Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 27 incidents on Monday and the early hours of Tuesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Battery on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;

— Assault on the 100 block of Reese Drive and the 200 block of Thistle Court;

— Criminal damage to property on the 1300 block of Mercantile Drive and the 1800 block of Alabama Avenue;

— Burglary on the 100 block of Force Drive, the 800 block of East 4th Avenue and the 300 block of West Mercer Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 500 block of American Lane, the 600 block of 11th Avenue, the 200 block of Adelyn Road, the 2000 block of Coves Court, the 500 block of Johnny W. Williams Road and the 700 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Recovered property on the 2300 block of Pebble Beach Court and the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Found property on the 100 block of Flint Avenue;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 1600 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Theft of lost or mislaid property on the 2000 block of Beachview Drive, the 1600 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 700 block of Swift Street;

— Theft by taking on the 300 block of Lucile Street;

— Wanted person on the 1600 block of Cromartie Beach Drive;

— Inhumane treatment of animal on the 300 block of Flintside Avenue, the 500 block of Robinson Avenue and the 500 block of Louis Avenue;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least nine calls on Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 1700 block of Beattie Road, the 1400 block of Liberty Expressway and the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 14 calls on Monday and the early hours of Tuesday, available records show. Calls included activated alarms, smoke detector activations, extrication of victims from vehicle, downed power lines, public service, arching and shorted electrical equipment, building fire, unauthorized burning, medical assist to EMS, brush fire, passenger and passenger vehicle fires.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 55 calls on Monday, available records show. There were 43 medical calls, 16 trauma calls and one assist for the Albany Fire Department.

The medical calls included nine chest pain calls, five respiratory issue calls, two faint calls, two diabetic issue calls, two seizure calls, two mental health calls, two OB/labor issue calls, one cardiac arrest call and 16 various medical calls

The trauma calls included seven falls and three auto accident victims.
