James O. Ford
ALBANY - Mr. James O. “J.O.” Ford, 93, died Wednesday, November 06, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
His funeral service will be Saturday 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow in Floral Memory Gardens. Dr. Billy Hanna will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 10 to 11 AM at Kimbrell-Stern.
A native of Worth County Mr. Ford had lived in Albany most of his life and retired from Keenan Auto Parts after 54 years. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II reaching the rank of SSgt. Mr. Ford a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and American Legion Post 30.
He was preceded in death by his parents Will and Lillie Ford, his wife Mary Williams Ford and 2 sons, Troy Dean Ford and Kenneth D. Ford and 8 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include daughter in laws, Delores H. Ford, Lee County, Sue Ford, Albany; sister, Hazel Ford Bolton, Albany; grandchildren, Traci Ford Howell, Maj. Chris Ford (Lori), Jennifer Ford Stupnikov (James), Stacey Farrell (Chuck), Kelli Durham (fiancée Earl Schlegel), Jason Ford (Jill), 15 great grandchildren and one due in March (Grayson).
