Lollie Mae Hall
Sylvester - On February 26, 1919, a baby girl was born to George Walker and Annie Harris-Walker in Turner County , Georgia. Lollie Mae was the oldest child of their union and she had a younger sister Rose Singleton, who preceded her in death. Her early years were greatly enhanced by her grandparents, Lizzie and Robert Ealy, who helped shape her personal values.
The family later moved to Worth County, Georgia where she attended school and graduated at the highest level possible during those times, which was the 8th grade.
Lollie received Christ as the Lord of her life in 1932 under Reverend Robert E. Ousley at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. After meeting her soul mate, Mr. James Hall, the two were married on December 24, 1939. She then joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and became active in Sunday school and the home mission department where she faithfully served for many years. Lollie loved helping people in any way that she could.
Through the union of James and Lollie, six children were born- a daughter, Rheyshene B. King-Boyd (Charles), Albany, Georgia, and four sons: James Rudolph Hall, College Park, Georgia; George Hall Sr. (Martha), Franklin Hall, and John Travis Hall; Sylvester, Georgia, as well as one son James Edward Hall who died shortly after birth.
Lollie leaves 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 God-grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Mrs Georgia Hall Butler, several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends to honor and cherish her memories.
Visitation will be from 1pm until 7pm, Friday, November 8, 2013 at Fields and Terry’s Funeral Home, 507 W. Prince St. Sylvester, GA.
Funeral services will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 280 Pleasant Grove Rd., Sylvester, GA., Sat., November 9, 2013 at 11AM.
