ALBANY — William Franklin "Will" Graham IV, the grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, will speak at the 9:30 a.m. worship service at Sherwood Baptist Church on Sunday.
Graham is slated as the guest speaker at Sherwood’s “Harvest Sunday”—a conclusion of a week-long emphasis of My Hope America events that approximately 200 Sherwood members hosted in their homes the first week of November. Sherwood staff and volunteers also hosted events around the community.
Graham, the oldest son of Franklin Graham, serves as the vice president and associate evangelist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and executive director of the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, N.C.
My Hope America with Billy Graham is a nationwide effort to reach people across the United States with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Churches and individuals hosted thousands of events to show “The Cross” broadcast from Billy Graham.
“When Will told me about this emphasis over a year ago I knew we wanted to be totally involved,” said Sherwood Senior Pastor Michael Catt, who, along wife his wife Terri, hosted a large community My Hope event at Sherwood’s “Coke Plant” outreach facility on Pine Avenue.
“Our desire has been to share the good news of Christ in the Good Life City.”
