Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 25 incidents on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Driving on suspended license on the 600 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 900 block of South Slappey boulevard;

— Theft by taking on the 1100 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 100 block of Pine Avenue and the 200 block of Telfair Avenue;

— Possession of marijuana on the 200 block of West Broadway Street;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road, the 1000 block of Pine Avenue and the 300 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Criminal trespass on the 500 block of Pinson Road, the 300 block of West Highland Avenue, the 600 block of West Society Avenue, the 600 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 2000 block of Tomkins Avenue and the 900 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Burglary on the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue and the 1900 block of South Riverview Circle;

— Entering auto on the 500 block of 9th Avenue, the 600 block of 16the Avenue and the 100 block of Whittlesey Court;

— Disorderly conduct on the 400 block of West Society Avenue;

— Wanted person on the 600 block of Johnson Road and the 400 block of Odom Avenue;

— Criminal damage to property on the 3200 block of Fernridge Drive;

— Robbery by force on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least 11 calls on Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Lost tag on the 1800 block of Oakhaven Drive;

— Entering auto on the 1000 block of Spring Hill Road;

— Recovered property on the 400 block of Virginia Avenue;

— Animal investigation on the 4200 block of Hardaway Road;

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least seven calls on Thursday, available records show. Calls included grass fire, extrication of victims from vehicle, building fire, water or steam leak and public service.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 63 calls on Thursday, available records show. There were 46 medical calls, 14 trauma calls and three other type calls

The medical calls included six chest pain calls, seven respiratory calls, one altered mental status call, one seizure call, one OB/labor call, 24 sick calls, two cardiac arrests and four various medical calls.

The trauma calls included eight MVC runs, three falls, two lacerations and one assault.

Other type calls included one standby for the Albany Fire Department, one local transport and one medical alert activation.
