Woman uninjured in Albany knifepoint robbery

A robber pulls a knife on a woman who is repairing an Albany residence

ALBANY — Police are searching for a man who robbed a 47-year-old woman at knife point at around 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon in southwest Albany.

Albany Police Department officials described the armed robber as a black male about 5 feet 8 in height and 200 pounds in weight. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and black tennis shoes and was traveling on a red bicycle.

According to APD reports, the woman was doing repair work at a vacant home in the 1300 block of West Waddell Avenue when the robber entered the structure and demanded money, pulling a knife on the victim. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police say.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
