Albany man shot in shoulder

ALBANY — An Albany man was shot by an unknown assailant while driving his car on Thanksgiving, according to Albany Police.

Jemari Rozier told officers of the Albany Police Department that he and some friends had left a party at a location on Dawson Road and were traveling in the 1700 block of Edgerly Avenue when someone fired a shot at his 2011 Chevrolet.

The bullet penetrated the driver side window and struck the victim in his shoulder, Rozier said. Rozier was treated and released from the emergency room at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, police officials say.
