LETTER: Cemetery ponds a poor reflection

I just left Crown Hill Cemetery where I laid flowers on the graves of three generations of my family members. For years, the sites of former pools on either side of the entrance have lain weed-choked and unsightly.

Too often if we live with something that needs repair, we gradually become accustomed to it.

Perhaps the ponds could be filled in and covered with sod. To leave them as they are reflects badly on my hometown.
