BLAKELY - Deoris Wilkerson Isler, 89, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Jo-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert, Ga. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2 PM in the New Light Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. David Crowdis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Stone, Billy Stone, Rucker Smith, Timmy Ware, Matthew Ragan and Jason Worthy. Burial will follow in the New Light Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
Mrs Isler was born in Morgan, Ga. July 18, 1924 to the late George Q . (Pete) Wilkerson and Cullie Turner Wilkerson. She was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church , a homemaker and also retired seamstress at Editex Sewing Factory in Edison, Ga Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband ; Clarence Ervin Isler Sr., a son, Clarence Ervin Isler Jr.; 2 sisters; Mary Fletcher and Anne Nichols and by 2 brothers; Guy Wilkerson and George (B0) Wilkerson.
Mrs. Isler is survived by 2 Granddaughters; Tara and husband Kenneth Price of Leesburg, Ga. and Stephanie and husband Gregory Camp of Edison, Ga. 6 Great Grandchildren; Jordan, Kyle, Colton and Austin Price, Cameron Camp and Kayla & husband Kevin Thompson. 3 sisters, Lee Beard of Cuthbert, Faye & husband Marvin Prater of Edison, Ga. and Polly Schramm of Dawson, Ga. and by a brother; James Wilkerson of Edison, Ga . and by numerous nieces and nephews.
