Suspects nabbed in burger drive-through

ALBANY — An Albany man told officers of the Albany Police he was on the 600 block of Cherry Avenue around 4 a.m. Thursday when an unknown black male approached his car and robbed him at gunpoint, taking money, cigarettes and a cell phone.

The victim, Kevius Hall, 28, said the suspect had driven a black Dodge Charger with black wheel rims, officials say.

According to a report by Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, a sheriff’s deputy was taking a lunch break later on in the day and spotted three suspects in a matching car in the drive-through line of Krystal restaurant on North Slappey Boulevard. The occupants were arrested.

Leroy Percy Brown, 42, was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Banks said.

Brandi Robertson, 34, from Panama City, Fla., was charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Banks said.

Joe Marshall, 28, also from Panama City, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, obstruction of an officer and giving a false name, Banks said.

Banks said a subsequent investigation revealed that Marshall had been banned from Albany and was currently wanted on an active probation violation warrant. Banks said all the suspects were transported to the Dougherty County jail.
