Woman injured in traffic accident

ALBANY — A 39-year-old woman was injured Thursday when the vehicle she was in rear-ended a pickup truck, Albany Police officials say.

According to Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the Albany Police Department, Gregory Robinson, 53 was driving his 2011 Ford F-150 truck on Slappey Boulevard near the intersection of Newton Road around 7 p.m. when he rear-ended a Ford R-250 driven by Raymond Bodiford, 45. Kristy Wallace, 39, a passenger in Robinson’s truck, was seriously injured, officials say, and taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment and observation. The extent of Wallace’s injuries have not been released.

Banks said charges against Robinson are pending based on the completion of an investigation by the APD traffic unit.
