LEESBURG — Country superstar Luke Bryan of Leesburg takes the top spot at country radio with “That’s My Kind of Night,” making this his eighth career No. 1 single.
“That’s My Kind of Night” is the highest debuting single of Luke’s career and has been the No. 1 selling country single for nine consecutive weeks. The chart topper is the second single from Luke’s Crash My Party album which was certified Platinum in just six weeks.
Crash My Party debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and Country sales charts with 527,783 units sold, making it the biggest sales debut for a country male artist since 2004 and the fourth highest album to debut across all genres this year.
Bryan is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year. His first headline tour, the “Dirt Road Diaries Tour” sold out all dates. He just announced his 2014 “My Kind of Night Tour,” which will begin in January.
Bryan is currently nominated for three CMA Awards, Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Musical Event for “The Only Way I Know” with Jason Aldean and Eric Church.
He will perform live on ABC’s Good Morning America Nov. 6 from outside the Bridgestone Arena and open “The 47th Annual CMA Awards” that evening. Bryan also has two nominations for the upcoming American Music Awards on ABC on Nov. 24 including Favorite Male Artist- Country and Favorite Album- Country. Also, it was recently announced that Bryan will be honored as a CMT Artist of the Year.
