Police/fire/EMS reports - Oct. 24, 2013

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 incidents on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Wanted person on the 700 block of West Highland Avenue and the 2500 block of Forsyth Street;

— Interfering with a city officer on the 300 block of South Van Buren Street;

— Open container on the 900 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Reckless conduct on the 500 block of South McKinley Street;

— Harassing phone calls on the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 300 block of East Broad Avenue, the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue, the 900 block of South Madison Street, the 1300 block of East Gordon Avenue and the 200 block of North Mock Road;

— Burglary on the 900 block of South Street;

— Recovered property on the 2000 block of Aker Drive;

— Entering auto on the 600 block of Westover Boulevard and the 500 block of Greenwood Drive;

— Criminal trespass on the 2600 block of Crossbow Court;

— Graffiti on the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard;

— Assault on the 1200 block of Hobson Street, the 200 block of Patrol Drive, the 1900 block of South Riverview Court, the 200 block of Thistle Court and the 900 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2500 block of Forsyth Street;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least 10 calls on Wednesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Accidental damage on the 500 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Traffic accident at Georgia Highway 133 near West Trailer Lane;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 5000 block of Barrington Drive;

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least seven calls on Wednesday, available records show. Calls included malfunctioning alarm, vehicle fire, building fires and excessive heat.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 56 calls on Wednesday, available records show. There were 44 medical calls, 11 trauma calls, and one assist for the Albany Fire Department.

The medical calls included four miscellaneous pain calls, four chest pain calls, three respiratory issue calls, three seizure calls, four diabetic issue calls, one OB/labor issue call, one mental health call and 23 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included three auto accident victims, seven falls and one laceration.
