Jeanette Williams Widener
BLAKELY - Mrs. Jeanette Williams Widener ,93, passed away Saturday night, October 26, 2013 at the Great Grans Personal Care in Donalsonville, Ga. Her funeral will be a graveside service Tuesday. Oct. 29, 2013 at 3 PM in the Blakely Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM. Rev. David Crowdis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons Thad Tiner, Brian Widener, Tom Bell and Todd Bell.
Mrs. Widener was born in Blakely, Ga. June 29, 1920 to the late Homer Williams and Annie Loyless Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Jasper Donald Widener, Sr. , a son; James Gregory Widener, 2 brothers; James Williams and Jerry Williams and a sister Peggy Williams Owens.
Mrs. Widener dearly loved her family and friends and considered her friends as her family as well. She truly lived by the adage ” If you can’t say anything nice about someone, then don’t say anything at all.
Mrs. Widener is survived by a son; Jasper Donald Widener, Jr. and wife Bettye of Blakely, 2 daughters, Diane Widener Bell and Linda Widener Tiner and husband Kenneth both of Blakely. Grandchildren: Tom and wife Connie Bell, Todd and wife Angela Bell all of Blakely; Tyla Bell Talley and husband John of Longmont, Colo. Brian Widener of Atlanta, Thad Tiner and wife Summer of Columbus, Ga., and Brooke Tiner Jones and husband Tim of Blakely. Great-Grandchildren: Giles Talley and Thomas Talley, Jade, Emily and Reagan Tiner, Jacob and Gage Jones and Banks Bell.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gentiva Hospice at 432 E. Shotwell St. Bainbridge, Ga. 39813.
The family will be at the home of Linda and Kenneth Tiner. 552 Southside Dr. Blakely, Ga.
