ALBANY — The Darton State College D.I.R.T. (Democratic, Independent, Republican Team) Club will host an Albany City Commission candidate forum today at 5 p.m. in room J-133 on the Darton Campus.

Five of the six candidates vying for the Ward II and Ward III seats on the commission have confirmed their attendance at the forum.

The format for the event calls for a 30-minute get-acquainted period during which refreshments will be served. Darton students and guests will have an opportunity at that time to talk with the candidates. The candidates will then be allowed five-minute opening statements, followed by a question-and-answer session. Two-minute closing statements will wrap up the forum.

The event will be taped for weekend rebroadcast on Public Access Channel 19, which is shared by Darton and Albany State University.

For additional information, contact D.I.R.T. Club adviser Roger Marietta, who also serves on the Albany City Commission, at (229) 894-2425.
