ALBANY — A lookout remained active on Monday for two individuals the Albany Police Department called on the public to help find over the weekend.
The Albany Police Department Investigations Bureau has solicited the public’s assistance with locating Untarius Shelton, 33, in regards to warrants for armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
At 2 a.m. on Oct. 20, police say the victim in the related case reported he was robbed at gunpoint by three males. The three males approached him on the 700 block of East Broad Avenue in the alley, and the victim was forced inside the suspects’ Honda Accord at gunpoint. While inside the vehicle, cash and a cellphone was reportedly taken from the victim.
The suspects then let the victim out of the car and fled the scene, APD officials say. No injuries were reported.
Shelton, also known as “Insane” or “Sane,” is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. The last known address for the 33-year-old is 1314 Mobile Ave.
The APD Investigations Bureau is also looking for Maurice Treon Dowell, 19, on warrants for armed robbery and aggravated assault. The charges against the Dowell stem from an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Aug. 1 on the 1400 block of Lincoln Avenue, where police say the victim stated he was approached by two males who demanded money at gunpoint.
The victim’s wallet was taken along with items from his vehicle, police officials say. The last known address for Dowell is 1615-A Malone Drive.
