ALBANY - Mrs. Mary A. Jenkins, 61, 1003 E. Tift Avenue, Albany, GA departed this life Friday, August 30, 2013 at her residence.

On January 4, 1952, Mrs Mary Jenkins was born to the late Ema May Perkins of Leesburg, Georgia and the late Willie Williams. On August 30, 2013, Mrs. Mary turned her fight with cancer over to the Lord.

Mrs. Mary gave her life to Christ at an early age and later was baptized at Rocky Hill Baptist Church. She attended school in Leesburg, Georgia. She was a loyal and dedicated employee at Sunnyland Farms for over thirty years.

On June 15, 1969, Mrs. Mary was united with Mr. Edward C. Jenkins, Sr. in Holy Matrimony in Leesburg, Georgia.

Mrs. Mary leaves behind her siblings: Virginia Williams (sister), Mr. & Mrs. Lee Jenkins, Mr. Robert Jenkins, Mr. & Mrs. Roosevelt Jenkins, Mr. Don Jenkins, Mr. & Mrs. Kenny Jenkins, Mr. & Mrs. Tina Jenkins, Mrs. Joyce Jenkins, Mrs. Evonne Jenkins, Mrs. Minnie Pearl Jenkins, Mrs. Irene Jenkins, Mrs. Hattie Mae Jenkins.

Mrs. Mary Jenkins leaves behind her children: Lisa & Germain Parks, Edward & Renea Jenkins, Jr., Patrick & Willa Jenkins, Tony & Jessica Jenkins, Montrell (Starler) Jenkins; grandchildren: Douglas Shealy, III, LaShonda Shealy, LaShay Shealy, LaPorsha Jenkins, LaDasia Jenkins, Quentavious Jenkins, Tiara Jenkins, Lakeira Jenkins, Ivy Jenkins, Montrell Jenkins, Jr., Skyler Jenkins; special nieces: Freeda (Rounnie) Polite, Gloria Davis; a devoted and caring friend: Mrs. Pat; along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many God given children.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Emma Perkins; father, Willie Williams; brother, John Lee; sister, Willie Mae Lester; brother, Fred Jenkins; sister, Minnie Robinson; mother-in-law, Pearly Mae Robinson; father-in-law, Issac Jenkins, Sr.

Mrs. Mary Jenkins was a loving wife, hard worker, a devoted mother, a loyal sister, but she was much more…She was a prime example of what God pronounced a virtuous woman and to us all a mother figure of life…

Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the Rocky Hill Baptist Church, Gravel Hill Road, Albany, Georgia with Pastor, Rev. James B. Stokes, officiating with interment to follow in the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Willie Sander, Brandon Lamar, Quentin Reed, Ray Dunnell, Fredrick Jackson and Pop will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 10:00 until the funeral hour. The family of Mrs. Mary Jenkins will receive relatives and friends at 1003 E. Tift Avenue.
