Junior League donates funds

ALBANY _ Junior League of Albany will be presenting checks to both Children’s Miracle Network and The Lily Pad at its first general membership meeting of the year on Thursday.

The funds for the donations were raised during the previous 2012-13 League year through fundraisers that the League held including Boot, Shoot and Boogie and the New Year’s Eve Party, A Night that Glitters.

“We are very excited to be able to continue to support organizations such as Children’s Medical Network and The Lily Pad,” said Tiffany Winn, League president. “We love helping organizations that help others and serve such an important cause in our community.”

This year, Junior League of Albany will kick off its fund its fundraising efforts with Boot, Shoot and Boogie on Oct. 12 at Wynfield Plantation. This spring, the League plans to host an attic sale. Both events will benefit local organizations. For ticket details and more information, visit www.jlaalbany.org.
