ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 21 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and into the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:
— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 600 block of Albert Court and on the 1000 block of North Maple Street;
— Assault on the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue and on the 1100 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Interfering with a city officer on the 300 block of Carriage Lane;
— Simple battery on the 2700 block of Dawson Road;
— Theft by taking on the 100 block of Frost Street and on the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Wanted person on the 1300 block of Hobson Street;
— Missing person on the 1300 block of Montego Court;
— Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 1400 block of West Waddell Avenue;
— Forgery in the 1st degree on the 2800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Criminal trespass on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road and on the 300 block of Flint Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Cordele Road;
— Injured person on the 2300 block of Dawson Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 18 calls from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon, available reports show. The incidents included an electrical short in a freezer, a structural fire on Mitchell Avenue that resulted in an estimated loss of $10,000, trash fires, a vehicle fire on West Oglethorpe Boulevard, downed power lines, a utility pole fire and an animal rescue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 49 calls through Sunday, available reports show. There were 38 medical calls and 11 trauma calls.
The majority of the medical calls included, but were not limited to, seven respiratory issue calls, five chest pain calls, two mental health calls, two miscellaneous pain calls, one fainting call, one diabetic issue call, one OB/labor issue call and one seizure call. The majority of the trauma calls included, but were not limited to, four fight/assault calls, three falls and two auto accident victims.
