LETTER: Government wants control of your auto

So, the federal government plans to convert all vehicles from mechanical to electronic. Your steering, brakes, fuel system, and ignition system will operate on electronics.

The Homeland Security wants the system more than any other. That way if the government suspects you of terrorist activities, the unmarked automobile next to you can push a button and your vehicle will become inoperative. It will shut off your motor, lock your brakes and turn your steering to the right so you will jump the curb, run over the street sign, hit the innocent pedestrian.

After seven to 10 days of imprisonment, they find that you are not the person they are looking for. You return home to find that you have received a bill for sign replacement and face manslaughter charges on the death of the innocent bystander, all because law enforcement in the unmarked car pushed the button. He/she plus their “chain of command” are not responsible for their actions.
