ALBANY -Mrs. Beth Banks, 70 of Albany died September 18, 2013 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11 AM at Sherwood Baptist Church. Dr. Michael Catt, Rev. Tom Pollock and Mr. Ross Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
A native of Macon, GA Mrs. Banks has lived in Albany since 1975. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church and a teacher in the Dougherty County School system with 20 years of service, retiring in 2003 with 8 years of service teaching in the Lee County School system in Leesburg, GA. Mrs. Banks was a graduate of North Georgia College in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Frances White Reid, daughter, Bethany Kay Banks and a brother, Clyde Benton Reid, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Banks of Albany, sons, Bryan Banks and his wife Donna of Springhill, TN, Brett Banks and his wife Dorina of Leesburg and Roy Manos of Arlington, GA, grandchildren, Cara McGee and her husband Cory, Matt Banks, Blake Banks, Abby Banks, Kaylie Banks, Harley Manos, Kelsey Bush and Katey Mann, two great-grandchildren, Brinley and Berkley McGee.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM the day of the service in the atrium at Sherwood Baptist Church.
