Neighborhood stroller shot in foot

ALBANY — Victor Jenkins, 50, reported to officers of the Albany Police Department that he was walking on the 600 block of Cotton Avenue late Thursday when he heard a loud “bang” and realized he’d been shot in the foot.

Jenkins was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officials said his injuries did not seem life-threatening.

According to Phyllis Banks, spokeswoman for the APD, a suspect in the case is in custody, with no charges yet pending. The investigation is ongoing, Banks said.
