Sylvester residents tied in home invasion

SYLVESTER — Three Sylvester residents were tied up in their home Wednesday and robbed by two armed men, police say.

According to a release issued by Lt. Ronnie Graddy, investigator with the Sylvester Police Department, a man, woman and 7-year-old boy were robbed when two men wearing masks invaded the residence at 304 East St. just before midnight. Both robbers carried handguns, the release states.

Police officials believe the incident may be connected to the armed invasion of another residence occurring on Aug. 22 at 106 Pamela Drive, during which three gunmen tied and robbed the residents, Graddy said.

The department has some leads in the investigation of the incidents, Graddy said, but is requesting anyone with information on the crimes to contact the Sylvester Police Department at (229) 8500.
