DID YOU KNOW?

Even though the autumnal equinox was Sunday, there was about eight more minutes of daylight than darkness. The spring and fall equinoxes are the days when the sun “crosses” the celestial equator, with the center of the sun rising and setting exactly 12 hours apart. Part of the sun rises before the center and sets after the center, however, providing the few extra minutes of daylight.
