Jule Linden Brown
DAWSON-Jule Linden Brown of Americus, formerly of Dawson passed away at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center on April 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Eddie Braswell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.
Jule was born in Hart County, Georgia to William Howard Brown, Sr. and Lois Cook Brown. He moved to Terrell County with his family in 1938. He graduated from Terrell County High School and Georgia Southwestern College, where he met his bride of 56 years, Mervin Easom. Mr. Brown was a retired dairy farmer and a member of the Dawson United Methodist Church and the Berean Sunday School class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, James Harold Brown, Frances Brown Holbrook, Deanie Brown Stone, William Howard Brown, Jr., Nelson Brown, and Watson Spencer Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Mervin Easom Brown of Americus; children, James Lanny Brown (Shirley) of Stockbridge, GA, David Russell Brown of Gadsden, AL, Raymond Linden Brown (Christine) of Pensacola, FL, Ginger Brown Perkins (Jerry) of Opelika, AL, Glenn Alan Brown (Kim) of Albany, GA, and Richard Harold Brown of Leesburg, GA; siblings, Mirium Brown Moore of Statesboro, GA, Sanford Brown of Savannah, GA, Lunell Brown Corbitt of Guyton, GA, Paul Brown of Orange Park, FL, Ellen Brown Purvis of Watkinsville, GA, and Patricia Brown Howard of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
