Sarah F. Kjellin of the Watson Spence LLP law firm in Albany has been appointed to serve on the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Directors as a director of leadership development. Kjellin will assist in promoting the group’s initiatives for the year, which are focused on service to military veterans, leadership development in YLD members and finding solutions to access to justice issues.
Kjellin’s law practice is focused in state and federal civil litigation. She serves as president of the Albany Area YLD and as a member of the Dougherty County Bar Association Executive Committee. A graduate of the Georgia YLD Leadership Academy, she earned her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law.
Through the years, the YLD has also gained national recognition by winning several American Bar Association awards for its projects and publications.
Chris Jarvis has been named to head the new Moultrie satellite office of Metro Appraisals of Gainesville.
Metro Appraisals was founded in Gainesville, Ga., in 1988 and provides residential and commercial real estate evaluation services in Georgia and the Southeast.
Jarvis, a native of Moultrie, has been employed with Metro for more than 15 years as a commercial appraiser in Forsyth County. He and his wife, Tammy, and their children have relocated to Moultrie.
