Public safety roundup in Albany-Dougherty County for Saturday, Sunday and Monday

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 60 incidents on Saturday, Sunday and the early hours of Monday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Burglary in the 2nd degree on the 1400 block of Dawson Road;

— Assault on the 1300 block of Hobson Street and on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 500 block of West Whitney Avenue and on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

— Entering auto on the 700 block of Johnny W. Williams Road;

— Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 1300 block of Avalon Avenue and on the 1700 block of Gillionville Road;

— Battery on the 700 block of Corn Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 600 block of 12th Avenue and on the 300 block of Pine Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of Crawford Drive and on the 1400 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Driving on a suspended license on the 1300 block of West Whitney Avenue and on the 300 block of Seventh Avenue;

— Burglary 1st degree on the 1400 block of Estelle Street and on the 1400 block of Whispering Pines Road;

— Theft of lost/mislaid property on the 1300 block of Broad Avenue and on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Wanted person on the 300 block of West Second Avenue and on the 300 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Unruly child on the 500 block of South Van Buren Street;

— Theft by taking on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue and on the 1400 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) on the 400 block of Blaylock Street;

— Possession or consumption of alcohol underage on the 1400 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Interference with a city officer on the 100 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Open container on the 2300 block of Palmyra Road;

— Driving under the influence on the 2300 block of Pembroke Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 26 calls on Saturday and Sunday, available reports show. The incident included:

— Fraud on the 2600 block of Crofton Drive;

— Animal call on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road and on the 5400 block of Newton Road;

— Personal welfare check on the 6000 block of Hardup Road;

— Man down on the 3400 block of Clark Avenue;

— Auto accident on the 2300 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Discharging firearms on the 1500 block of Broach Avenue;

— Personal welfare check on the 800 block of Holly Drive;

— Traffic arrest on the 5400 block of Newton Road and on the 1500 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Suspicious auto on the 2300 block of South County Road and on the 2200 block of Habersham Road;

— Unwanted guest on the 2300 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Problem with a juvenile on the 2600 block of Oak View Street;

— Burglary at a residence on the 3100 block of Plains Lane;

— Sign down on the 5800 block of Moultrie Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 18 incidents from Friday through Monday, available reports show. The incidents included a cooking fire, authorized controlled burns, EMS assistance, unauthorized burnings, shorted wiring, a vehicle accident, trash fires, an overheated motor, a grass fire and a building fire.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 52 calls on Sunday. There were 39 medical calls, 12 trauma calls and an assistance call for the Albany Fire Department.

The medical calls included, but were not limited to, five respiratory issues, three chest pains, three seizures, three mental health issues, one altered mental status, one diabetic issue, one miscellaneous pain and 21 various medical calls. The trauma calls included, but were not limited to, five falls, four auto accident victims, one assault and one laceration.
