Evelyn Grace Bell

ALBANY-Evelyn Grace Bell was born July 14, 1928 in Mitchell County to the late Mr. Mack Williams and Mrs. Willie Mae Heppard Quimbley. She joined New Salem Baptist Church at a young age. She was married to Mr. Roe Weatherbee Bell, Sr. who preceded her in death.

To carry on her legacy are five children: three sons; Roe W. Bell, Jr. and Michael (Sharon) Bell of Albany, Georgia, Gregory Bell of Gainesville, Florida; two daughters: Brenda Grimes and Teresa (Anthony) Bellows of Albany, Georgia. Two sisters preceded her in death, Isabella Williams Bradley and Mary Heppard Dennis. She leaves one sister and brother, Mrs. Juanita (Steve) Heppard Cooper of Jamaica Queens, New York and Mr. Mack (Betty) Williams, Jr. of Baconton, Georgia. Fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends are also left behind to honor her memory.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Evelyn Grace Bell, age 86, 1309 E. 1st Street, Albany, Georgia who departed this life Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from the New Salem Baptist Church, 9925 Stage Coach Road, Baconton, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Her remains will lie in state at the church Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. The family of Mrs. Evelyn Grace Bell will receive relatives and friends at 1309 E. 1st Street, Albany, Georgia.
