CUTHBERT-Pamela Brumbelow King, 68, of Fort Gaines, Ga. died Tuesday Aug. 26, 2014 at Willson Hospice Center in Albany. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 PM ET Friday Aug. 29, 2014 at Fort Gaines Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Hines officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 PM in Floral Memory Gardens in Albany. The family will receive visitors from 12:30 – 1:30 before services at the Church.
Mrs. King was born May 17, 1946 to the late Gus and Dorothy (Shumake) Brumbelow. She graduated from Albany High School and attended Albany Jr. College and graduated from Albany Technical College of Cosmotology. She also attended Christopher Newport University in Virginia. She later worked in the family grocery business, Brumby Foods (Dawson), as Assistant Manager. Pam was a beloved member of Fort Gaines Baptist Church, where she served as a teacher in both Sunday School and Discipleship Training. She led an exercise class at the church and also sang in the choir. She was deeply committed to Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully.
Pamela King is survived by her husband, James (Jim) King, of Fort Gaines: a son, Paul White (Karen) of Woodbine, Ga; stepdaughters, Candance King (Johnny) of Pittsboro, NC and Katherine King of Carabora, NC; granddaughters Kelly White, Jennifer Buckner (Cory) and Courtney Thomassen; 1 Great Granddaughter, Kassy Buckner; Three brothers; Jerre Brumbelow (Valerie) of St. Marys; Mike Brumbelow (Crickett) of Albany and Tommy Brumbelow (Nancy) of Shellman; a sister, Midge McDowell of Albany.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fort Gaines Baptist church or the American Cancer Society.
