Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 20 incidents Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— DUI refused on the 500 block of West 3rd Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue, the 500 block of West Society Avenue and the 600 block of 11th Avenue;

— Possession of cocaine on the 1300 block of East Society Avenue;

— Wanted person on the 900 block of Madison Street;

— Burglary on the 200 block of Frost Street, the 400 block of Cedar Avenue and the 1700 block of Northwood Drive;

— Criminal trespass on the 100 block of Pine Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 2800 block of Meredyth Drive and the 2500 block of Canterbury Court;

— Identity fraud on the 2200 block of East Alberson Drive;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road, the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Battery on the 2000 block of Riverview Circle;

— Entering auto on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Robbery by sudden snatching on the 2200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Forgery on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;

— Missing person on the 600 block of Cedar Avenue;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least six incidents on Wednesday. The incidents included theft on the 1400 block of South Mock Road and criminal damage to property on the 4800 block of Impala Lane.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Wednesday. Calls included alarm system activations, downed power lines and gas leak.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 46 calls on Wednesday. The calls included 38 medical calls and eight trauma calls.

The medical calls included six respiratory issue calls, three diabetic issue calls, two mental health calls, two OB/labor issue calls, two miscellaneous pain calls, two altered mental status calls, one seizure call and 18 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included five auto accident victims, one fall, one laceration and one assault.
