ALBANY — Patrons of the Albany Museum of Art will be partying this evening as they celebrate the 50th year of the museum’s operation in Albany.
A black tie affair is planned with dancing to live music provided by Ax Izz. Activities at the Museum of Art will begin at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails followed by a live auction at 7:30 p.m. The auction will feature celebrity auctioneer Carly Mathis, Miss Georgia 2013 and a finalist in the Miss American pageant. The music and dancing will follow the auction.
Cristen Kirbo of the Museum staff says a few tickets to the event remain available. Tickets are $124 a person with tables of 8 to 10 available. Anyone interested in tickets should contact Kirbo at (229) 439-8400.
Brandi Singleton is chair of the 50th anniversary celebration. Kirk Rouse and Al Seely are co-chairmen. Honorary chairs include Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Berry, Hank Goodyear, Bea McCormack, Jay Reynolds and Jane Willson.
