Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 28 incidents Monday and the early hours of Tuesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Wanted person on the 1500 block of Second Avenue;

— Terroristic threats and acts on the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Criminal trespass on the 2500 block of Walden Court, the 1800 block of South Madison Street, the 2400 block of Bassford Lane, the 1000 block of West Mercer Avenue, the 500 block of North Jackson Street, the 500 block of Pinson Road and the 2000 block of Hidden Court;

— Suspended license on the 2000 block of North Jefferson Street;

— Battery on the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 2800 block of Elton Street, the 1300 block of Hobson Street, the 1800 block of Sycamore Court and the 600 block of West Residence Avenue;

— Identification fraud on the 500 block of Vintage Road;

— Loud music on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft by deception on the the 200 block of Pinson Road;

— Entering auto on the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Theft by taking on the 2300 block of Bluewater Avenue and the 2800 block of Meredyth Drive;

— Recovered property on the 2500 block of Nottingham Way and the 700 block of Partridge Drive;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;

— Obstruction of a law enforcement officer on the 800 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Animal running at large on the 900 block of Willie Pitts Drive and the 900 block of Ninth Avenue;

— Inhumane treatment of an animal on the 1300 block of South Madison Street and the 400 block of Holloway Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 1900 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 1400 block of Owens Avenue, the 2200 block of Dawson Road and the 900 block of Friendship Drive;

— Burglary on the 400 block of Cedar Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 300 block of Slater King Drive;

— Robbery by force on the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue;

— Robbery by intimidation on the 800 block of Lippitt Drive.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 19 incidents on Tuesday. The incidents included:

— Theft on the 800 block of River Point Drive, the 500 block of Henson Road and the the 2200 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Family violence on the 2200 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Criminal damage to property on the 4100 block of Irene Lane;

— Missing person on the 4800 block of Mustang Drive;

— Traffic accident/DUI arrest at the intersection on Holly Drive, south of Georgia Highway 133;

— Entering auto on the 2500 block of Homestead Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 11 calls on Monday. Calls included alarms system activations, gas leak, arching and shorting electrical equipment, EMS assist and brush fire.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 68 calls on Monday. The calls included 58 medical calls, nine trauma calls and one assist for the Albany Fire Department.

The medical calls included 10 respiratory issues, seven miscellaneous pains, six chest pains, six mental health issues, three faintings, three altered mental statuses, two OB/labor issues, one cardiac arrests and 18 various medical issues.

The trauma calls included three falls, three lacerations and one auto accident victims.
