Robert B. Moss of Plains has been appointed by the board of directors of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit as an outside director.
Moss, whose term will expire in 2016, currently serves as vice chairman of the board. Moss is a part-time farm management consultant and is a retired superintendent of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Southwest Georgia Branch Experiment Station.
Moss also serves as chairman of the board’s Compensation Committee.
Other members of the board include Bobby J. Brooks, T. E. Allen, III, James H. Dixon, Jr., Clifford Dollar, Jr., Robert L. Holden, Sr., Kimbley D. Rentz, and Jeffrey Clark.
Southwest Georgia Farm Credit, headquartered in Bainbridge, Georgia, is an agricultural lending cooperative owned by its member-borrowers. It provides farm loans for land, equipment, livestock and production, as well as financing for hunting and timber tracts and rural home mortgages.
