Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least seven incidents on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Assault on the 1100 block of South Van Buren Street;

— Burglary on the 900 block of West Lincoln Avenue and the 900 block of West Mercer Avenue;

— Reckless conduct on the 500 block of Endicott Lane;

— Driving on suspended license on the 100 block of Merritt Street;

— Theft by taking on the 600 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Vandalism on the 900 block of Holloway Avenue;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 10 incidents on Tuesday, available reports show. The incidents included a traffic accident on the 1500 block of South Mock Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 19 calls on Tuesday, available records show. Calls included steam or water leaks, sprinkler activation, building fires, electrical short circuits, alarm system activations, smoke detector activations, unauthorized burning and motor vehicle accident.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 48 calls on Monday, available records show. The calls included 36 medical calls and 12 trauma calls.

The medical calls included five diabetic issue calls, two chest pain calls, two respiratory issue calls, one altered mental status call, one OB/labor issue call, one miscellaneous pain call, one mental health call and 21 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included six auto accident victims, five falls and one laceration.
