ASHBURN - The funeral services for the late Mr. Calvin T. High of Ashburn, Georgia, who departed this life on Monday, December 6, 2014 at the Heritage Health Care of Ashburn in Ashburn, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia, with the Bishop E. L. West, officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Mr. Calvin Thomas “Shorty” High was born on November 3, 1952 in Ashburn, Georgia.

Calvin attended school in the Turner County Public School System. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. After serving in the U. S. Army, Calvin moved to Moultrie,Georgia, and was employed by Pike Creek Grass Farm. He worked at Pike Creed until he became ill.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Antwon (Shanina) High of Ashburn, Georgia; two daughters, Lazivia High (Derrick) Clark of Ashburn, Georgia, and Roberta Scott of Tifton, Georgia; four grandchildren, De’Ardre (Shatarra) High, LaBrentae’ High, Aerial Hamilton, Aquarius Lewis; one great granddaughter, Nalani High; five sisters, Josephine Stafford of Atlanta, Georgia, Martha High McCoy, Mary High, Ada High (David) Lamb, Ida High (Joseph) Reed, all of Ashburn, Georgia; eight brothers, Larry Stafford, Roosevelt (Audrey) Stafford, Willie (Faye) Stafford, Anthony (Lena) Stafford, Jimmy High, Joe (B. J.) High, Robert High, Jamie (JoAnn) High, all of Ashburn, Georgia; a special cousin, Mrs. Daisy Byrd.
