Joel Callins and Ferrell T. Moultrie have been appointed by the Dougherty County Commission to serve a five-year term on the Hospital Authority of Albany-Dougherty County.

Callins is the owner of The Callins Law Firm, LLC, a creditor rights and real estate law firm, and works of counsel with the law firm of Lee Durham, LLC. He is also a contract attorney with the State Court of Dougherty County.

He earned his law degree at Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., and a MBA from the American Intercontinental University School of Business.

Callins is a member of Albany Sertoma Club and Albany Rotary Club.

He and his wife, Dr. Keisha Callins, have a son and a daughter.

Moultrie is a recently retired educator who spent more than 36 years working in the Dougherty County School System as both a teacher and coach. He is a graduate of Albany State University.

A U.S. Army and Vietnam veteran, Moultrie volunteers with youth in the community, including tutoring middle school students in math. He is a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he serves as the superintendent of Sunday School and is a member of the deacon board.

Moultrie is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the Albany State University Alumni Association and the Georgia Retired Educator Association.

He and his wife, Jo Ann, have two sons.

EDUCATION

Judy Jimmerson has been promoted to associate vice president of career services at Albany Technical College.

The Albany native is a graduate of Dougherty public schools and received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Albany State University. Her master’s degree in management came from Troy University.

Jimmerson began her career with Albany Tech in 2006 as the Director of Career Services. She formerly was employed with the Georgia Department of Labor, Albany Career Center.

Jimmerson manages Albany Tech’s first fully functional Career Development Center, which is also the only one of its kind in the Technical College System of Georgia.

The host of Albany Tech’s Titan Career Network, which is designed to inform the community of theopportunities and benefits of matriculating at ATC, Jimmerson also facilitates career-related events and workshops for Albany Tech’s students and graduates, and serves as Chairperson of Albany Tech’s Loan Default Management committee. She is a certified Resume Writer and Global Career Facilitator.

Jimmerson and her husband, Melvin, have two daughters, Ashley and Andrea.
