Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 19 incidents on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Criminal trespass on the 1200 block of Stuart Avenue, the 2700 block of Dawson Road, the 1500 block of Rena Street, the 400 block of West Tift Avenue, the 200 block of Sunrise Drive and the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Theft by taking on the 800 block of 10th Avenue, the 900 block of Holloway Avenue, the 1400 block of Tift Avenue, the 300 block of South Jackson Street, the 700 block of 9th Avenue and the 1800 block of Palmyra Road;

— Burglary on the 400 block of South Davis Street and the 800 block of South Street;

— Theft of lost or mislaid property on the 200 block of Cordele Road;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 2500 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft of recovered stolen property on the 500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Public indecency on the 1100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty Police Department responded to at least seven incidents on Wednesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Miscellaneous (air gun shooting) on the 600 block of Holly Drive;

— Traffic arrest on the 3000 block of Sylvester Road;

— Traffic accident at Radium Springs Road and Westview Road;

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least six calls on Wednesday, available records show. Calls included smoke from barbecue, unauthorized burning, passenger vehicle fire, shorted electrical equipment and grass fire.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 58 calls on Tuesday, available records show. The calls included 46 medical calls and 12 trauma calls.

The medical calls included 10 chest pain calls, 10 respiratory issue calls, five miscellaneous pain calls, two faint calls, two altered mental status calls, two OB/labor issue calls, one mental health call, one cardiac arrest and 12 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included eight auto accident victims and two falls.
