NASHVILLE — Luke Bryan has announced his first stadium dates, which will be included on his two-part That’s My Kind of Night Tour for the year. All 19 shows on the first leg of the tour are sold out.
The reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, Bryan, a native of Leesburg, headlines his first stadium show on June 21 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. Other stadium shows are set for Aug. 15 at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, and Aug. 31 at Soldier Field, Chicago.
Bryan and Live Nation Nashville President Brian O’Connell announced the 2014 dates at a news conference Wednesday that was streamed live on the Internet. The first leg of the tour kicked off Thursday in Columbus, Ohio, and continues through March 8.
Tickets start going on sell Jan. 24 on Megaticket.com for the shows on the second leg of the tour, which opens May 3 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver and wraps up Oct. 25 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The segment includes a July 25 date at Aaron’s Amphitheater at Lakewood in Atlanta. Bryan also will perform June 15 at Jacksonville, Fla., but that performance is part of Florida Country Superfest and isn’t a stop on the That’s My Kind of Night Tour.
Dierks Bentley will be a special guest at the Pittsburgh and Chicago stadium shows. Opening acts for all dates on the 2014 That’s My Kind of Night Tour are Cole Swindell and Lee Brice.
Bryan wrapped 2013 having sold-out all dates on his Dirt Road Diaries Tour, performing for 1.3 million fans.
