ALBANY — Two additional arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Jamey Spurlock, 34, who was shot to death on Silica Drive on Dec. 22.

Officials of the Albany Police Department say Fredrico Kennedy, 16, was apprehended Tuesday morning at a Leesburg address. A second suspect, Anthony Jackson, 22, was already in the Dougherty County jail on unrelated charges, officials say.

Police officials say Both Kennedy and Jackson have been charged with murder, armed robbery and possession of weapon during the commission of a crime.

The victim had been shot once in the chest during an apparent robbery attempt and died after transport to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, officials say.

During a news conference on Jan. 3, Spurlock’s parents, Robert and Mary Spurlock made an impassioned plea for help in finding Spurlock’s killers. Hours after the conference, the APD announced arrests of two brothers, Demetrice Lugene Price Jr., 23, and Kovarious Javan Price, 20, in connection with murder. Officials say a third brother, Demonta Montell Price, 18, continues to be sought for the crime. All were changed with murder, armed robbery, possession on a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
