Public safety roundup for Albany and Dougherty County

ALBANY — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 24 incidents Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Pine Avenue and the 300 block of West Highland Avenue;

— battery on the 700 block of Colquitt Circle and the 800 block of Crawford Drive;

— Theft by taking on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 500 block of West Whitney Avenue, the 600 block of Holloway Avenue and the 1300 block of Mitchell Avenue;

— Obstruction on the 800 block of Broad Avenue;

— Financial transaction card fraud on the 2700 block of Cambridge Road;

— Burglary on the 1100 block of Wingate Avenue, the 300 block of Sunset Drive, the 100 block of Talafax Road and the 400 block of South Madison Street;

— Entering auto on the 400 block of Lowell Lane, the 1000 block of Forest Glen Drive, the 2900 block of Autumn Avenue and the 1400 block of Edgewood Lane;

— Criminal trespass on the 600 block of Jeffries Avenue, the 300 block of West Highland Avenue, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 400 block of West Broad Avenue;

— Theft by taking on the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 14 calls on Thursday, available reports show. Calls included passenger vehicle fires, grass fires, forest or wild land fire, smoke scare and building fire.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 39 calls on Thursday, available reports show. The calls included 31 medical calls, seven trauma calls and one assist for the Albany Fire Department

The medical calls included five respiratory issues, three seizures, one chest pain, one fainting, one mental health issue, one miscellaneous pain and 17 various medical calls.

The trauma calls included three auto accident victims, two assault calls and one fall.
